Trying this BLOG thing again :) From The Beginning!

I tried this before when i was doing my pregnancy journals and I did pretty well with Tyler, and slacked off when Matthew was born, and I didnt do very much at all with Nathan! It seems hard to find the time to do anything but take care of my 3 precous Miracles!

From the Beginning.....

Ray and I married on February 28, 2003 and we immediately knew we wanted to start a family, we knew we always wanted 3 or 4 children. Well 2004 and 2005 passed...No Children, We ended up going to a fertility specialist that told us that there was absolutely no possible way that we would EVER be able to have a baby due to my PCOS! Well we started checking into other options including going to a fertility seminar, and actually had an appointment set up when I learned I was pregnant!

On March 16,2007 I found out i was going to become a Mommy, I had always dreamed of becoming a Mommy... I was always taking care of everyone elses little ones and dreamed of one day having my own. Well that dream was finally coming true.. On October 25th 2007 I gave birth to a Healthy baby boy we named Tyler, weighing in at 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long! Tyler is as healthy as can be.. On November 17, 2008 we had a Terrible Scare when Tyler quit breathing and had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance. I was so scared something was going to happen to my little boy. We found out that Tyler has febrile seizures (I had them as a child as well) I was so relieved to find out that it was nothing SERIOUS! TODAY Tyler is a healthy 3 year old weighing 40 lbs , running around and can carry on a conversation just like an adult!

On March 17, 2009 We found out that we were going to have another Miracle! We were excited to find out we were going to be having another little boy! On November 12,2009 I gave birth to a second Healthy baby boy we named Matthew, weighing 8 lbs 12 oz 21 1/2 inches long! Matthew had some problems since birth, we could not get him to eat in the hospital, everyone tried, all the nurses and nothing would work! Well we both got released from the hospital 2 days after he was born, and we just kept forcing him to eat what we could, he wasn't losing a lot of weight so we assumed he would just start eating! On November 17, Matthew gave us the wost scare we have ever had. He started breathing really fast and really deep, so we decided to take him to the ER and be checked out. We took him to Lexington Medical Center ,and they did chest x-ray and said all babies breathe differently but they wanted to send him to childrens hospital to be watched. So an Ambulance came and transported him Richland Childrens Hospital, where to our surprise there was an entire pediatric ICU unit waiting for him , when we arrived they started hooking up all kinds of wires and tubes everywhere including a breathing tube. They called in 3 or 4 people from home at like 3am , and they came in and did an echocardiogram and told us that his aorta was narrowed and he would have to be transported to MUSC for heart surgery ASAP. Around 4pm on November 18th, Matthew was transported in an incubator to MUSC and was put in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU. On November 19th Matthew underwent heart surgery to fix his narrowed aorta. He did very well and started recovering immediately.. They did however damage his digestive system and paralyze his vocal chords during the surgery, but his life was spared and we Thank GOD everyday for that. Today Matthew is 1 year old and doing WONDERFUL, you would never be able to tell that he had the surgery except the scar on his back.
